Committed to Independence

Although we receive very little subsidy from the state it is by far not enough and therefore we have to rely heavily on the generosity of the pubic and fund-raising projects to make up for the shortfall.  We for instance have 7 dances during the year in an effort to raise the necessary funds.

It is a continuous battle to raise the necessary funds to enable us to keep the house going.  Our biggest expense is labour. Because some of us have limited use of our arms we need help all the time.  Therefore, we have staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unfortunately labour is very expensive and we constantly battle to make ends meet.
